Program?
The new program comes at an excellent time in Alvernia’s
history. With last year’s change to University status and the celebration of
our 50th Anniversary, now is the perfect time to begin this joint
program between the Admissions and Alumni Offices at Alvernia.
As Alvernia’s name recognition grows in the local area and
Mid-Atlantic region, so does the interest from prospective students and
families. These same students and families have a strong desire to hear from
you, as graduates and success stories of Alvernia! The Alumni-Admissions
Program will give you an opportunity to help the Admissions Office by sharing
your knowledge and experience with these prospective students. As alumni, you
are the best resource for prospective students to learn about the
student-to-faculty interaction, student life activities, and the overall
Alvernia experience that lies ahead for so many students.
We have identified a number of ways that alumni can get
involved in the recruitment process and give back to Alvernia at the same time
with this program. Some responsibilities include referring prospective
students, attending college fairs with an Admissions Counselor, speaking at
on-campus events, or contacting prospective students from your area.
