NYC bus trip to see Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific
South Pacific is the winner of 7 Tony Awards and marked as the Best Musical Revival. Even with the world at war, hopes and dreams still bloom on the hillside of an enchanted island in Rodgers & Hammerstein's most romantic musical. Although well known for its extraordinary score-the songs include "Some Enchanted Event," "Younger than Springtime," "Bali Ha'i," "Nothin' Like a Dame," and "A Wonderful Guy"-South Pacific is also a deeply felt drama. Its portrayal of Americans stationed in a foreign culture in wartime and its theme of racial tolerance remains time today.
Bus leaves Lot C of Alvernia University at 8 a.m. and leaves NYC at 8 p.m.
Orchestra Seats:
Alvernia Alumni & Guests - $125 per person
Non-Alumni-$145 per person
